We’re all so very different, and being so very different makes it so easy to see ourselves as separate. Come with me on a little journey of the imagination, to see if we can’t pierce the illusion…

Once upon a time there was a Being. This being was very powerful, and virtually timeless. It saw all, knew all, and could perform nearly any feat, create nearly any creation, beyond the furthest reaches of the most imaginative mortal’s imagination. For eons (we mortals must put these things in mortal terms), this being was content to simply be, for being was an incredible, fantastic, wonderful thing for this being. This being was ever-changing, ever-shifting; yet loss and gain did not exist… only balance and wholeness. Yet this being lacked experience, and in all it’s knowing, knew this was foregoing wisdom. The Meaning of Life

I’d say it’s about time for a regularly scheduled random diversion. We’ll get back to the journals next week. This week I would like to discuss the meaning of life. I spent a lot of time stagnating and trying to figure it out, punctuated by moments of throwing caution to the wind and plunging headlong into something obviously meaningless. At the time I felt like I was “opening myself up to the answer” or “putting my trust in the Universe”, but I have since learned that these things require a little more thought and a great deal more effort than letting life just happen.
